The Alaknanda River Rafting Expeditions

A self contained multi-day river adventure down the Alaknanda & Ganga rivers. The trip starts from our base camp on the Ganges river near the pilgrim town of Rishikesh. A scenic drive for 4 hours takes us past the town of Devprayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet to form India's holiest river, the Ganga.This journey of 100kms to Rishikesh, the run takes you through thick forests and deep gorges, ending each day at a different river beach to make camp for the night, enhancing the adventure of being on the river. Foaming rapids, sandy beaches and starry nights make this a truly outdoor trip. You can also do this even you are first time rafter

Day 01 – Delhi – Kaudiyala( The Camp 5 Elements) – 270 Kms/6 Hrs

Drive 6 hours from Delhi to The Camp 5 Elements on the banks of the Ganga (32kms. Beyond Rishikesh). The Camp 5 Elements is set with an aim of UNDERSTANDING NATURE, CONSERVING YOU, offers serene and rejuvenating environment. We check into camp, followed by briefing, its activities and the trip to follow. Bar-be-que, bonfire followed by buffet dinner and overnight at The Camp 5 Elements.

Day 02 – Kaudiyala- Srinagar –90 Kms/ 4 Hrs drive

Early morning nature walk and Kayaking lesson. You can also indulge in rock climbing and rappelling or just camps games. Post lunch drive to Srinagar. Enroute stop at Dev Prayag to have a look at the river you will be rafting down tomorrow. Here Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet to form Ganga which travels down as the most revered River of India. Overnight at Rest House/Hotel.

Day 03 – Srinagar – Maletha ( Rafting)

Post breakfast pack your bags, change into your rafting gear and hel in getting the raft readied.

After detailed safety briefing follows with instructions on paddling commands, rapids to be encountered & flora & fauna. You will come across various tricky rapids .Soak in the sun, river and scenery, staying alert to help negotiate rapids. Lunch at a waterfall and continue . We camp after Srinagar. We cover approximately about 36 Kms on the river till Maletha beach Long day on the river. Share your experience along the bonfire, Dinner and overnight at Camp.

Day 04 – Maletha – Beas Ghat( Rafting)

Raft down to Devprayag, the confluence of the Alaknanda & Bhagirathi rivers. The river is now called the Ganga. Camp at Beas Ghat, a famous fishing spot for the mahseer, also called the Ganga Gold. We cover approximately 30 Kms today.

Day 05 : Beas Ghat – The Camp 5 Elements- Kaudiyala ( Rafting)

A relaxed day with few rapids. A day for swimming, body surfing, relaxing and spotting wildlife. Make 30 kms to reach camp below Kaudiyala, after running a couple of Grade IV rapids and famous “Daniel’s Dip.” Overnight in the luxuries of The Camp 5 Elements.

Day 06 : The Camp 5 Elements – Kaudiayala- Shivpuri(Rafting)

Day begins with negotiating a few small rapids, followed by big “The Wall” and others like “Three Blind Mice”, “Crossfire”, and the “Body Surfing rapid”. Cover 15 kms to reach Shivpuri and drive back to The Camp 5 Elements for the last night by The Ganges. Bonfire, bar-be-que, folk dance and song , buffet dinner, overnight at The Camp 5 Elements.

Day 07 : Shivpuri- Rishikesh ( Rafting) – Delhi- 237 Kms/ 5 Hrs

Drive down to Shivpuri after breakfast to begin the final day’s run with big rapids, the “Roller Coaster” and “Golf Course” to make it an exciting end to a grand adventure. The trip ends near Rishikesh at Lunch. Post lunch depart to Delhi.
