 Pangarchulla
becomes a beautiful climbing objective in the spring after
having accumulated all the winter snow. An easy low peak which
gives a good feel of a climb-plodding the crisp morning snow
with amazing views of high mountains. This trip offers enough
challenge and loads of opportunity to click photographs.
Day 01- Delhi Haridwar 210 Kms( Drive 5-6
Hrs) Arrive Haridwar. Local sightseeing and evening Arti at
Har Ki Pauri. Overnight at The Haveli Hari Ganga- A Heritage
Hotel.
Day 02Haridwar Joshimath via Rudraprayag. 274
Kms. (8 9 hrs) After breakfast leave for Joshimath
via Devprayag and Rudraprayag. Lunch (packed) Tea / Coffee en
route at Srinagar. Proceed on to reach Joshimath in the late
afternoon. Arrive at the Char Dham Camp Joshimath by late
afternoon. Evening free in Joshimath. Dinner and OVERNIGHT at
the Chardham Camp, Joshimath.
Day 03: Joshimath - Tali (3310m) 5-6 hrs Take the
cable car up to the ski slopes of Auli (2750m). From Auli one
gets to see a distinct profile of Nanda Devi at the head of the
sanctuary. The walk takes one through the forests of oak and
rhododendron to reach meadows of Gorson. From here the trail
descends steepily down to the forest and we camp by a small
water body at Tali. Overnight at Camp.
Day 04: Tali to Khulara (3395m) via the Kuari Pass 5-6 hrs
 Today
the trail ascends the ridge above Tali and cairns marks our
track. Just below the pass, the trail leads through a large
meadow affording spectacular views of the Himalayas. North of
Joshimath is the Chaukhamba range, Nilkanth (6596m) and Narayan
Parbat (5965m), while Mana peak (7272m),Kamet (7756m) and Abi
Gamin (7355m) extend to the Tibetan border. In the middle
foreground, the main Himalayan chain in the vicinity of the
Bhyundar valley and Hem Kund includes Nilgiri Parbat (6474m),
Rataban (6166m), Ghori Parbat (6708m) and Hathi Parbat (6727m).
Dunagairi (7066m) dominates the peaks to the north of the Nanda
Devi Sanctuary. The Kuari pass (3840m) is by no means demanding
we have our lunch here and then descend an hour to the
base camp at Khulara.
Day 05 : Khulara Base Camp Advanced Base Camp
(4000m) 3-4 hrsHave an easy start. After breakfast get
ready in your climbing gear and start plodding up towards the
high camp. Most of the walk goes on a moderate gradient on the
snow covered North face of the mountain slopes with .A short
traverse will bring us to the advanced base camp.
Day 06 : Advanced Base Camp to Summit and back to Khulara
Base Camp 3-4 hrsWake up early to be up on the summit to
see the sunrise on wide Himalayan panorama. Loads of opportunity
to click photographs! The walk up to the summit would take a
couple of hours and we descend to be in time for hot lunch at
base camp. Evening is complemented by bonfire and dinner.
Day 07: Khulara Tapovan (1905m) 4-5 hrs and drive to
JoshimathThe last day of the climb is all the way down to
the Tapovan. Its about 1 hours drive from here to the
comforts of The Chardham Camp, Joshimath.
Day 08 : Joshimath Haridwar. 274kms. (Drive 9
10 hrs)
 After
breakfast leave for Haridwar and on the way take lunch at
Srinagar. Restart and if time permits visit Devprayag (The
confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, to becomes The
Ganga). Reach Haridwar & overnight at The Haveli Hari Ganga.
Day 09- Haridwar- DelhiPost Breakfast leave for onward
journey.
