Lata Panwali Kedarnath Trek

This trek provides with one of the rarest views of the entire range of Yamnotri - Gangotri - Kedarnath - Badrinath mountain peaks. In the process you pass through the seven bugyals of panwalikantha, where if you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of blue- mountain goat. This trek is a part of the ancient pilgrims trail from Gangotri to Kedarnath, in the tradition of vamavrata yatra that began from Yamnotri and ended at Badrinath, after paying respects at the Gangotri and Kedarnath shrines.

Day 01- Delhi – Haridwar – 210 Kms( Drive 5-6 Hrs)

Arrive Haridwar. Local sightseeing and evening Arti at Har Ki Pauri. Overnight at The Haveli Hari Ganga- A Heritage Hotel.

Day 02 – Haridwar – Maneri. (Drive 240 Kms 7 hrs)

After breakfast leave for Maneri a drive of 240 Kms. Arrive The Chardham Camp, Maneri set along Bhagirathi river at Lunch.

Day 03- Uttarkashi- Belak – 22 Kms drive. (2439 Mtrs)

Driving for 22 Kms to Lata Trek for 13 Kms to Belak with packed lunch.It takes 7-8 hrs to reach Belak. Dinner and overnight at Camp.

Day 04- Belak – Budhakedar - (1542 Mtrs)

Trek 14 Kms to Budhakedar with packed Lunch. Overnight at Camp.

Day 05- Budhkedar- Guttu –( 1524 Mtrs)

Trek 14 Kms with Budhakedar-Ghuttu with packed lunch.On the Bank of Bhilangna river, Ghuttu village is the last roadhead for Khatling glacier and Panwali Kantha trek .Stay at Tourist Rest House.

Day-06-Ghuttu-Panwalikanta ( 3963 Mtrs)

Trek*18 kms to panwalikanta with packed lunch-Pretty and Peaceful, the Panwali Bugyals lie at Far flung heights, ranging from 2745 meters to 3970 meters. They are open Grasslands and undulating slopes studded with patches of Forests. With the advent of Summer, the snow melts away, flowers and herbs blossom forth to carpet the Bugyals in a riot of color. Overnight in camp.

Day-07 Panwalikantha-Sonprayag( 1829 Mtrs)

Trek 24 kms to Sonprayag with packed lunch-dinner and overnight in camp-At Sonprayag, Mandakni river from Kedarnath and Vasuki Ganga, a tributary river from Vasuki Lake meets, the secene of the two rivers in the exquisite mountain setting is charming. Overnight in Camps.

Day-08- Sonprayag-Kedarnath( 3585 Mtrs)

5 km drive to Gaurikund and thereafter trek* 14 kms to Kedarnath with packed lunch-The temple is magnificiant in its style and architecture and to construct such a temple at this height over one thousand years ago must have been quite a feat. It is the abode of Lord Shiva and one of the famous Jyotirlinga. Overnight at Punjab & Sindh Awas.

Day 09 – Kedarnath – Guptakashi. (trek 14 kms, drive 32 kms)

After breakfast start your journey back to Gaurikund and on arrival leave for Guptakashi by road to reach the Char Dham Camp by evening. Relax with Ayurvedic Massage. Dinner and overnight at The Chardham Camp, Guptakashi.

Day 10 - Guptakashi – Haridwar. 223kms. (drive 9 – 10 hrs)

After breakfast leave for Haridwar and on the way lunch (packed) & Tea/ Coffee at Srinagar. Restart and if time permits visit Devprayag (The confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi). Reach Haridwar & Overnight stay at The Haveli Hari Ganga.

Day 11- Haridwar- Delhi

Post Breakfast leave for onward journey
