Horse Safari Itinerary

The horse safari trail passes through thick Sal and teak forests of Elephant Shivalik Reserve, interspersed with small streams and riverbeds, rich in flora and fauna. The birdlife is spectacular and there are great chances of spotting the elusive big cats- The Tiger and Leopard, beside other species like-Sambar,Spotted Deer,Muntjack and wild boars etc.

The Horse safari then commence uphill through Oak,Baanjh and Rhododendron Forests, at an altitude of approx.7000 feet along the ridges.

DAY 01: Delhi- Corbett National Park

Arrival and Check-In at the The Corbett Hideaway or The River View Retreat, After a welcome drink and a short briefing on your stay at different lodges. Lunch is served Afternoon is for jungle trekking. In the evening we present a Folk Show. Orientation talk and a Question & Answer session on your tour, followed by a Slide show on the Flora & Fauna of the area you will visit during your Horse Safari.

DAY 02: Corbett National Park

Early morning game view drive by 4WD Jeep . Post Lunch Elephant Ride in Corbett National Park. During the day introduction to your horse and short horse ride.

DAY 03: Corbett National Park

Commence your horse safari in the foot hills of the Himalayas through Shivalik Reserves. – Follow the foot steps of Sir Jim corbett who used this trail regularly Ride to sitabani forest rest house. Sitabani is set in deep Forest . The forest rest house will be our base for overnight stay . The Variety of birds is especially good here. Overnite in tents.

DAY 04: Corbett National Park

Ride to dachauri forest rest house. This ride takes us through The Heart of the forest and area where Sir Jim Corbett spent a lot of time, and wrote About in his book "the temple tiger". Overnite in tents, the Camp has a great Setting - with a back drop of the hills and the plains spread out in front.

DAY 05: Corbett National Park- Nainital

Start ride into the himalayas and ascend to pangot, riding up Through the hills to fantastic picturesque site, situated on a saddle - With A view of the himalayas all around. Overnite in Pangot in the hotel.

DAY 06: Nainital

Early morning- with packed breakfast to Cheena peak,lunch at The naini Retreat.Post Lunch go to boat house club-one of the highest sailing clubs in the world - and enjoy the lake by boat or walk up to Tiffin Top to view the panoramic view of entire nainital- stay at The Naini Retreat , a Luxury Boutique Hotel

DAY 07: Nainital- Betalghat

Drive to Pangot and from ride up to Ratighati . Post lunch drive to betalghat by horse. Overnight stay at Hotel

DAY 08: Betalghat- Corbett

Ride early morning to Garjia suspension bridge via okhalkand and drive further foe overnight stay at The Corbett Hideaway or The River View Retreat

DAY 09: Corbett – Delhi

Post breakfast drive to your next destination
