Himalayan Jeep Safari


DAY 01: Delhi/Corbett National Park (260 kms/06 hr)

Depart early morning for Corbett National Park. Arrive at noon. Take lunch, take a guided nature walk and also visit the famous Garjia temple. Overnight stay at The Corbett Hideaway.

DAY 02: Corbett National Park

Early morning game drive by jeep, return to The Corbett Hideaway for breakfast. Rest, relax and lunch. Evening game viewing by elephant. Cultural program on the dances of Kumaon. Overnight at The Corbett Hideaway.

DAY 03: Corbett National Park

After breakfast drive to Binsar, enroute we drive through the sanctuary. Binsar offers a lot of opportunities to the avid birders and photographers. Overnight stay at Binsar Rest House.

DAY 04: Binsar/ Munsiyari (192 km/ 06 hr)

A steep ascent on a hillside replete with villages, streams and waterfalls brings you to a quaint little township of Munsiyari, perched on a mountain face. Munsiyari commands fantastic views of the Panchchuli peaks and the Milam and Ralam valleys. The majority of the population is of the ethnic Bhotia race, a very tough class of people, invaluable as guides and porters for the various treks that begin here. Overnight stay at the hotel. ???

DAY 05: Munsiyari

Khaliya Top is situated approximate 11 Km from the place we stay, at a height of 11500 ft. This hilltop offers an incredible view of the Panchchuli peaks. The highly popular trek to Khaliya Top through dense forest and overnight stay in alpine tents, is a must.

DAY 06: Munsiyari

For those fond of angling, there is ample scope to fish trout and Mahseer in the Ramganga and Gori Ganga rivers within radius of 40 Kms. Separate arrangements for guide and packed lunch can be made. Guests are expected to bring along their own angling equipment.

OR

Lilam Village- situated approximately 13 kms from the place where we stay. This trek is a part of the Milam Glacier Route along the banks of Gori Ganga through the villages of Darkot, Dumar & Jimighat. The trek offers an initial experience of the flora and fauna of the Johar valley.

DAY 07: Munsiyari / Patal Bhubaneshwar /Chaukori (250 kms)

Drive to Patal Bhubaneshwar (05 Hrs), spend 02 Hrs visiting Magmite / Stalmite caves which depict the legends of The Mahabharata, the great Indian epic, and then to Chaukori, a small Kumaoni Village, with tea gardens and enchanting views of the Himalayas. The road to Chaukori is along the famous Berinag ridge. Overnight stay in a Tourist Rest House.

DAY 08: Chaukori/ Mukteshwar/ Ramgarh (260 kms / 07 hr)

Drive in the morning to Mukteshwar through narrow roads dotted with villages. This area is famous as the fruit bowl of the Kumaon. Apple, pear and peach orchards cover the hillsides with their splendid blossoms. Overnight stay at The Himalayan View Retreat.

DAY 09: Ramgarh / Delhi (350 kms / 08 hr)

Drive back to Delhi in the morning. Arrive Delhi in the evening.
