Har
- Ki - Doon is situated in the Western Ganges of the Garhwal
Himalayas, at the base of the Fateh Parvat, at an elevation of
3,556 meters. This cradle shaped valley, South-east of Jaundar
glacier is surrounded by dense forests of pine, deodar and other
coniferous trees. It is totally covered by a blanket of blue and
purple flowers. The surrounding forest is rich in wild life and
exotic birds and forms part of the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary &
National Park. The main snow clad peaks visible from here are
Swarga-Rohini, Bandarpunch and Kala Nag.
Day 01- Delhi Haridwar 210 Kms( Drive 5-6
Hrs) Arrive Haridwar. Local sightseeing and evening Arti at
Har Ki Pauri. Overnight at The Haveli Hari Ganga- A Heritage
Hotel.
Day 02- HARIDWAR BARKOT 186 Kms ( 6 8 hrs )
Leave for Barkot from Haridwar after breakfast. Lunch (Packed) &
Tea/ Coffee en route in Mussorie. Arrive and check in at The
Char Dham Camp Guptakashi and relax. Dinner and OVERNIGHT at The
Chardham Camp, Barkot.
Day 03- Barkot - Taluka (1900 m) 120 kms/ 5 hrs)After
breakfast drive to Taluka, a small hamlet nestled in the laps of
nature via Purola and Mori. This is starting point of our trek.
Overnight in tents/ tourist rest house.
Day 04- Taluka - Osla (2560 m ) (13 kms/6-7 hrs)
 The
day starts with the gentle trail towards Osla. Today's trek is
through beautiful forests of Chestnut, Walnut and Willows. A
gradual ascent brings us to the picturesque Osla village along
the swift rivulet. On arrival set campsite for overnight stay.
Day 05- Osla - Har - Ki Dun (3566 m ) (12 kms/6-7 hrs)
Morning after breakfast trek to Har Ki Doon. Initially the trek
goes past some fields of beans & rice and also some isolated
villages, where the life style is same as old, and the untouched
one. The dress worn by the people is traditional. Their
cheerfulness and innocence combined with their simple way of
life make them very appealing. A common scene in the evenings is
that of ruddy cheeked village belles returning home, carrying on
their backs huge loads of pine needles & cones to be used as
fuel. The trail steadily ascends the side of the ridge across
the river and then veers left to the Har Ki Doon valley. Dense
forests at this part give way to the meadows that are scattered
with flowers and flowering herbs. Dinner and Overnight stay in
tents.
Day 06- Har Ki DoonThe day is for rest/
acclimatization /exploration. On this day everyone does his own
thing. One can go on an exploratory trek in the valley, capture
some magnificent views on the camera, or just chill at the
campsite. Overnight in tents.
Day 07 - Har Ki Doon - Debshu Bugyal (12 kms/4-5 hrs)
Today we will trek 12 kms to reach Debshu Bughyal. It will take
4-5 hrs at leisure pace as the trail is generally downhill.
Overnight in tents.
Day 08 - Debshu Bugyal - Ruinsara Tal (3500 m) (16 kms/5-6
hrs)
 Today
we start trekking early towards Ruinsara Tal. The Trek from
Debsu Bughyal to Ruinsara Tal is through, terraced mountain
fields, lush green grassy lands and conifer forests through
extremely scenic landscape. The gradient of the trek is moderate
and one will be able to complete the trek in 5 - 6 hrs. On
arrival campsite at the lake. Overnight in tents.
Day 09 - Ruinsara TalThe day is for rest /
acclimatization / exploration. One can explore the surroundings
around the lake. The place is full of photographers delight.
Dinner and overnight in stay in tents.
Day 10 - Ruinsara Tal - Osla (18 kms/4-5 hrs)
After breakfast start trekking back towards Osla (18 kms). This
trek will take about 4-5 hours. Set up a camp by the Supin
River. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Day 11- Osla - Taluka (13 kms/3-4 hrs) - Haridwar (265
Kms, 7-8 hrs)After early breakfast trek for about 3-4 hours
to reach Taluka and from here drive back to Haridwar. Overnight
at The Haveli Hari Ganga.
Day 12- Haridwar- Delhi Post Breakfast leave for
onward journey
